Discussion with Nonprofit Spotlight: Kitsap Foster Care Association

Join us Friday, December 20 @ 5:30 PM before our production of Anastasia for a heartfelt and informative discussion with Naomi Nichols, President of the Kitsap Foster Care Association (KFCA), hosted by BPA’s Theatre School Coordinator, Amanda Yeoman Brooke. This Nonprofit Spotlight event will explore the joys and challenges of foster parenting, the vital work KFCA does to support Kitsap’s 250 foster children, and how our community can make a meaningful difference.

BPA’s Nonprofit Spotlight program highlights local organizations whose missions connect with the themes of our productions. In Anastasia, a young girl searches for belonging and identity after losing her family—a journey of resilience and hope that mirrors the experiences of many children in foster care. KFCA’s commitment to creating stability, support, and connection for foster children makes them an ideal partner for Anastasia.

Learn how KFCA’s programs—like their clothing closet, Dream Project grants, and family-friendly events—help foster families navigate the complexities of care. Naomi and Amanda will discuss the power of connection and the challenges and triumphs faced by children in the system.

This special event also includes a Q&A, giving attendees a chance to engage directly with Naomi and explore ways to support foster families locally. Don’t miss this opportunity to be inspired, informed, and contribute to positive change in our community. This event is free to attend with reservation and does not require guests to purchase tickets to Anastasia.
