We offer high-quality, individualized performing arts education to children, teens, and adults. Our program serves as a platform for creativity, compassion, and connection, empowering students to embrace their authentic selves and grow as individuals, performers, and castmates. While celebrating their unique voices and perspectives, students of all ages will develop their skills and thrive both on and off the stage.
BPA Theatre School is dedicated to inclusivity and equity. Our scholarship program ensures all students can participate, regardless of financial barriers. If able, please consider donating to support resources and scholarships for our students.

Theatre Arts 3
Mondays, 3:30 PM- 6 PM
March 16- May 11; no class April 6
Grades 9-12, Ages 14-18This spring, writing is at the heart of class as students create a scene or short play inspired by storytelling and community connection. We will be partnering with another non profit, which will help kick off writing. Using shared stories and guided exercises, improv, and discussion, students will develop character, structure, and a creative voice while building confidence and empathy. The focus is on process over product—valuing authentic expression. There will also be an opportunity for light direction and acting through this process, and students will have the opportunity for a table read of their final work.

Choreography Workshop
April 12
We’re excited to offer two choreography workshops in one day, designed for different ages and experience levels.Beginner Workshop
(Ages 9–13), 12 PM- 2 PM
A fun, welcoming introduction to choreography, movement, and musical theatre themes. This workshop focuses on play, creativity, and confidence-building for students with little to no prior experience.OR
Revisit & Renew
(Ages 11–17), 2:30 PM- 4:30 PM
Designed for students with musical theatre and/or dance experience, or those who have taken the winter class with Anna. This workshop dives a little deeper into choreography, musicality, and ensemble work—refreshing skills and exploring new movement with intention and energy.

Beginning Improv
Wednesdays; 4 PM- 6 PM

This class provides a fun and supportive space to explore the exciting and collaborative craft of improvisational theatre. Students will learn basic improv principles, and acquire the tools they need to build spontaneous scenes and stories together completely from scratch! This is great for those who are new to it, or for those who know improv but would love to explore the foundations again.

This quarter, students will try out elements we have never combined before, sketch comedy style writing on-camera! Students will explore the foundations of film-based skit and sketch comedy, using improvisation to generate ideas, develop character, and shape dialogue. Artists will collaboratively write, rehearse, and film short, original sketches. The process centers on creating without concern for reception—writing from an authentic place and valuing internal joy and self-expression over applause—while having a blast in a judgment free and safe space.

This class will spark creativity and self-expression through playwriting and building foundational audition skills. Through guided exercises, improvisation, and discussion, students will write original short scripts, developing characters, and structuring scenes. Additionally, they will learn a framework for auditions—building confidence, clarity, and presence while exploring their unique artistic voice. All work takes place in a safe, supportive, and joyful environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and growth.

Designed for older Theatre Arts 1 students, this class will explore the foundations of building a character and sharing their work with confidence. Through playful monologue exploration, light audition-style introductions, and ensemble-based exercises, students will learn how to prepare a character, make strong choices, and speak with clarity and intention. This is all within a very joyful, authentic, non-judgmental and safe space. Our emphasis remains on collaboration, confidence-building, and helping each student feel empowered in their creative voice.

Spring Sing: Musical Theatre Harmonies

Grades 3-12, Ages 8-17This spring, we are offering a 3-week intensive for ages 8–17 focused on musical theatre singing, with a special emphasis on learning harmonies. No prior experience is required—but come ready with a deep interest in musical theatre, a willingness to grow, the ability to stay focused, and a passion for trying new things. Students will sing with others and in front of others, all within a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment designed to make singing feel joyful, supportive, and fun.

Preparing for an Audition (Musical Theatre Vocals and Intro)

Learn what to expect in a musical theatre audition and how to walk into the room with confidence. Performers or potential performers are encouraged to bring a song they’re preparing to audition with, but support and guidance will be provided. We’ll cover introductions, nerves, starting and ending strong, and common audition room expectations.

How Do I Explore a Character and Start Acting?

Curious about acting but not sure where to begin? This foundational workshop explores how an actor can use a simple inner thought before each line and transform a scene they're a part of. We’ll focus on presence first, then practice breaking down text by identifying character thoughts that naturally shape delivery—building confidence and having fun tapping into your creative side!

This supportive workshop helps performers or potential performers understand what really happens in an audition room and how to show up with confidence—even when nerves are present. It’s most effective if you are able to bring a monologue you are preparing for an audition, or excited to explore as a general piece, but we’re also happy to help suggest material. We’ll practice introductions, cold reads, and receive clear, encouraging direction.
