THEATRE SCHOOL

We offer high-quality, individualized performing arts education to children, teens, and adults. Our program serves as a platform for creativity, compassion, and connection, empowering students to embrace their authentic selves and grow as individuals, performers, and castmates. While celebrating their unique voices and perspectives, students of all ages will develop their skills and thrive both on and off the stage.

BPA Theatre School is dedicated to inclusivity and equity. Our scholarship program ensures all students can participate, regardless of financial barriers. If able, please consider donating to support resources and scholarships for our students.

In order to adequately support the continued growth of BPA Theatre School, and ensure our financial model is meeting increasing costs, we have implemented a modest increase in tuition this year. We remain committed to providing equitable access for all students through our scholarship program, which provides free and reduced tuition to students who need it. Thank you for your support.

YOUTH CLASSES

  • NEW: Short Film Class

    Mondays, 3 PM- 6 PM
    Sept 22- Nov 17 (No Class Nov 10)
    Ages: 14-18 (Grades 9-12)

    Students will rehearse and film an original short script, developing on-camera presence, character, and collaboration. This class fosters cinematic art, confidence, and fun through judgement free and supportive process.

  • Intro To Theatre

    Ages 8-9 (Grades 3-4)

    Join us for an hour of playful theatre exploration! Students will build skills in character, voice, and collaboration while discovering the joy of ensemble work in a safe space.

  • Mainstage Link Class

    Thursdays, 4 PM- 6 PM
    Sept 25 – Nov 20 (No Class Oct 30)
    Ages 10-14 (grades 5-8)

    The Fall ’25 Mainstage Link class will introduce students to the first AND second productions in our Mainstage Lineup: “The Play That Goes Wrong!” and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame!” The class allows students to learn about the process of a full-scale production. Students will learn material from the show, work with guest artists from the production team, and observe rehearsals in the theatre.

  • Beginner Improv

    Wednesdays, 4 PM - 6 PM

    Ages 11-14 (grades 5-8)

    This class provides a fun and supportive space to explore the exciting and collaborative craft of improvisational theatre. Students will learn basic improv principles, and acquire the tools they need to build spontaneous scenes and stories together completely from scratch!

    Theatre Arts 1 this fall will foster joyful exploration by building theatre skills, encouraging mutual support, and gaining confidence through various scripted and improv work, and group collaboration.     Theatre Arts 2 will illuminate and advance creativity from within. This fall, explore acting and creating through exploration and discovery with scenes, new artistic avenues, movement, improv, and more. We’ll uncover new potential through character exploration and examining the human experience, all within a safe, authentic, and joyful space.

  • Acting Workshop: For Those Who Never Thought About Taking an Acting Workshop

    Never pictured yourself in an acting class? Perfect. This welcoming, no‑pressure workshop is designed for beginners and for those already curious about acting. Through approachable techniques and scene work, you’ll build presence, authenticity, and confidence — whether you’re stepping on stage for the first time or sharpening existing skills.

  • Auditions and Self-Tape Monologues

    Oct 19 – 10 AM- 2 PM
    *Limited spots- reserve early

    Prepare a monologue ahead of time and receive personalized coaching to refine your performance. Practice slating techniques, then film a polished self-tape ready for submission. This workshop builds your audition skills and provides you with a video ready to submit- ideal for play auditions (even here at BPA!), agents, and casting calls. Gain confidence and stand out in every audition!

  • Improv and Storytelling- Morning Workshops

    This workshop focuses on the heart of storytelling. Through guided exercises, you’ll discover how to shape a narrative, explore personal voice, and bring meaning to the stories you tell. Emphasis is on creativity and authentic expression rather than scene performance, making it welcoming for all experience levels.

  • Improvised Poetry and Prose

    Nov 23: 10 AM to 2 PM

    In this workshop, you’ll explore a series of improv exercises that build step by step toward creating improvised poetry and prose — first in groups, then pairs, and finally solo. Starting with “Phone Bank,” moving through “Refrigerator Magnets,” into Beat Poem, and ending with poetry‑slam‑worthy improvised prose.
