Ruth Urbach (Granma), Barbara Deering (Ma) This American classic addresses issues of social and economic justice while underscoring the importance of family, hope for the American Dream, and the retention of human dignity and spirit in the face of adversity.

The Grapes of Wrath has inspired musicians from Woody Guthrie to Bruce Springsteen and Kris Kristofferson to memorialize the Joad odyssey and message of hope and justice. Locally, it has inspired Bainbridge Island musicians of the folk group More Luck to Us, who will perform original music as well folk and gospel music of the Dust Bowl throughout the show.
